On a 3-acre wooded hilltop bird sanctuary in the Historic District of Saint Francisville, Shadetree Inn offers tranquility and rejuvenation in three private, unique and very romantic hideaways.

Shadetree's Gardeners Cottage with its 19 windows (12 stained glass) feature solarium and bedroom with sweeping hilltop vistas and a sumptuous bath with "oasis-like" Jacuzzi for two. Antique stained glass windows and a mosquito net draped bed highlight the intimate bedroom.

 

Shadetree's Loft is repeatedly described as "magical". Up at treetop level, with ten foot tall cathedral ceilings and walls of Louisiana red heart cypress, it's Adirondack-style charm with skylights over the bed and old-fashioned tub have drawn countless honeymooners. It's balcony overlooks an outdoor campfire and the dale leading to the Mississippi River.

 
Guests at Shadetree's Sun Porch with it's glass enclosed porch overlooking St. Francisville's Historic District enjoy a shaded treetop deck with views of the lush hillside. A fairy tale bath with jacuzzi for two and romantic bedroom, complete with canopied bed and sensuous hand carved Austrian chandelier, "reward the eye with simple but ingenious elegance
